- Em muốn ăn gì?
I don’t know how far I’ll go, but one thing is for sure: “If I don’t go, I’ll get nowhere.”
This beautiful purple lesser periwinkle (Vinca minor)was simple, but capturing the light and shadow was a bit tricky for me to paint.
I freehanded this painting directly onto the paper. Normally, I sketch first and then trace it onto my watercolour for more complicated subject. The bud was a bit tricky to draw and I had to erase a lot while working on it.
I applied the first layer matching the lightest colour that I could see.
Then, I added more layers, gradually building from light to dark, layer by layer, until I was satisfied with the tonal range.
I lost some of the lightest tones, so I used white gouache to add the tiny details I had missed.
The key to painting in layers is to wait for the paint to dry before adding the next one.
I had a good time to paint this flower, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you so much!

- Em muốn ăn gì?
I can’t control the outcomes, but I’m in control of my actions and choices. Every decision I make has consequences.
I can choose to go to bed early or stay up late, eat healthy or unhealthy food, study or scroll through social media, paint or waste my time.
I can go for a walk or binge-watch a TV show. I can wait for tomorrow to come or prepare today for it. I can take action to solve my problems or wait helplessly for someone to save me.
My life – my choice. There no excuses for my actions. I should make choices carefully and weigh my decions before acting. Choose wisely!

Dù là đêm tối hay chiều tà
Em chỉ cần nói ra (chỉ cần: only need, nói: to talk), nói ra: speak it out)
Và đôi ba phút là anh sẽ qua (anh sẽ qua: I will come over)
Chẳng nề hà chi hết

Em à ngờ là chẳng có chi anh không hiểu được em ( không hiểu được: I can’t understand)
Thế nhưng đời không là mơ (nhưng: but)
Hóa ra anh vẫn ngây thơ (vẫn: still)
Hóa ra còn điều về em làm anh sững sờ
Anh sẽ lại nghĩ suy (sẽ: will)
Thật lâu vì câu hỏi cũ hôm nay em thích ăn gì? ( hôm nay: today, Hôm nay em thích ăn gì?: what do you like to eat today?)
MIN:
Em ăn gì cũng được (em ăn gì cũng được: I eat whatever)
Em ăn gì cũng được
Chỉ cần đi cùng anh thì em ăn gì cũng được (chỉ cần: only need, đi cùng: go with)
OSAD:
Nói đi em xin đừng lan man (nói đi!: please talk)

Một tô bánh canh cua có đủ hấp dẫn, hay là em thích phở gà (phở gà: chicken noodles)
Đi đâu anh chở mà, chẳng sợ đường xa (đi đâu: go where, anh chở: (I take you/ I ride you)
